Life is a conglomerate of tests that we are to pass in order to mature spiritually. Therefore, it would behoove us to watch and learn as life’s circumstances come our way. Are we overlooking the lessons to be learned—trying to get to the manifestation of our prayers? God wants us to learn lessons like: patience, humility, trust, kindness, and forgiveness to name a few.
What lesson does God want you to learn?
You have to admit there are a lot of mean people in the world. And, sometimes the act of being kind can only be learned when uncaring and unkind people are forced to walk in the tracks of their own making. What lessons can they learn as they ask God for mercy?
Trust is another valuable lesson to be learned. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust God. We should watch our actions and see if our “trust” is bombarded with worry and smothered in fears. How do we act when the answer to our prayers are delayed, or not answered the way we would like for them to be answered? If we pay close attention as we go through trials, it will tell us the worth of our trust. The lessons are: Can we let go and trust God? Can we say, Your will be done, and mean it? Can we let our back-up plans go? If God tells us to surrender and walk away, can we?
What is God teaching us about faith while we are waiting for Him to answer our prayers? Is God sending us messages in our spirit to hold on? Do we hear a faint voice in our heart that says, “Everything is going to be fine?” Perhaps He is teaching us to hear His voice so we can receive what He is saying over what we see in the natural. If we do hold on, what are we learning about His faithfulness that will be beneficial in the future?
Personally, I think God is more interested in the valuable lessons than our answered prayers.
Could the manifestation of your prayers be waiting on you to learn the lesson?
