Are you overwhelmed—walls of life closing in? Don’t worry; the same God that knocked the wall of Jericho down can knock your walls down, too.
When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city. (Joshua 6:20 NIV)
How long will you keep trying before you ask God to help?
I’m speechless when believers tell me they didn’t ask God to help them with their problems. I really don’t understand—seeking Him should have been first. Is keeping us from going to hell the only reason to be a Christian? Being a Christian has other life-saving benefits while on earth, for example supplying the wisdom we need to get through this evil-bent world.
I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (John 10:10b AMP)
We are well equipped!
Since God knows we can’t combat the adversary with our own strength, He has equipped us with His armor, His angels, and His Word. He tells us over-and-over again to lean on Him. (Psalm 55:22; 1Peter 5:7; Matthew 11:28-30) Think about all the time we waste, the mess we create, and how silly we look when we try to fight spiritual wars using physical means.
With that said, you can’t name a situation in your life that can defy God. The enemy knows this; that’s why he would rather face multitudes of armed guards than to face one humble Christian who has the faith to exert the power of the Holy Spirit.
Keep and protect me, O God, for in You I have placed my trust and found refuge. (Psalm 16:1 AMP)
When the walls start closing in remember: Your heavenly Father is mightier than what is before you.
. . . and the wall came tumbling down!
