We have to be careful not to let negative emotions enter into our minds and steal our good moments. When I say good moments, I’m not necessarily talking about jaw-dropping, toe-stumping grand old times, but I’m talking more about those unpretentious moments that many of us take for granted.
Life is unpredictable. At any given time our lives can have us running around in a panic-stricken frenzy. That’s why it’s important for us to take notice and celebrate peace and calmness; not with streamers and balloons, but with a humble heart of:
Thank you Lord!
One day when I was having a peaceful calm morning, for no reason at all, fear struck my mind like a lightning bolt. Those evil thoughts were so out of place because everything in my life was going fine. That sudden contrast of emotions showed the enemy’s hand. The devil was trying to strip me of my peace.
I didn’t see that coming!
That’s when God brought it to my attention, when things are peaceful, I have to pay attention and not let the enemy cheat me out of those “good” moments.
Think about this: There will be times when we will have cause to be agitated and upset about something. That’s just the way it is. (John 16:33) So why trade “no drama moments,” for worrisome-fearful thoughts?
Also think about this: The enemy wants us to worry when things are not going fine, and he wants us to worry when things are going fine. That means he wants us to be worried all the time. Something is wrong with that picture!
The devil is crazy—worry 24/7.
I don’t think so!
Now think about this: When God blesses our lives with stillness, and unsolicited worries come, put your faith in God and . . .
Savor your good moments!
