We are all different because God created us that way. Imagine for a moment if we were all the same. B-o-r-i-n-g! God had a purpose and design in mind when He created each of us to be our individual selves. He equipped us with gifts and talents, as He arranged circumstances and situations so that we would be able to fulfill His specific agenda for our lives.
Here’s something else to imagine. Imagine the world if we all had enough faith to completely be who God created us to be. Fear, doubt, and procrastination would not be able to divert our attention off the mission at hand. Instead, we would find nifty ways to use the obstacles that are in our way.
Fashion a new color!
There are a billion plus people who every day duplicate the same old things the same old ways that have already been set by others—who had the faith to break from the norm to be themselves. Noah broke the norm!
Frame a new shape!
We might tell ourselves if we knew what God’s plan was we would gladly do it. It’s hard for me to believe that God would equip us with gifts and talents, surround us with guardian angels, plus the Holy Spirit 24/7 then leave us in the dark to figure out what He wants us to do with our lives. That’s too much backup and power to leave to chance. God gave Noah step-by-step instructions. (Genesis 6:14-22, 7:1-5) He will do the same for us—when we listen and obey.
Do the unimaginable!
God’s creative power is waiting to perform the unimaginable through us. However, it starts with us taking steps of faith.
Do you have the faith to be you?
