The average person isn’t going to stand by and watch an infestation fester in their home and do nothing about it. The vile swarm will chew and annihilate everything in its path leaving behind breeding microscopic organisms.
Pick your task-force: spray, trap, specialists—they got to go!
Well, there’s a different type of infestation on earth today—hate. The insurmountable hate geared towards our fellowman is crumbling our basic structure of decency. Don’t get me wrong; hate has been here all the time, but now it has boldly surfaced its evil head in a whole new way.
If you pay attention, you can literally see the venom eating up haters from the inside out. No one can carry this magnitude of poison, and not be negatively affected. When these demonic spirits take control of their subjects; trouble is brewing just like with any other plague. The only difference is these evil spirits will consume their own workforce when they are done using them. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: (John 10:10)
They scatter when they see the Light!
Don’t deceive yourself and think you can handle this toxic wickedness on your own. You can’t—no one can! Your task-force is found in Ephesians 6:10-18, the armor of God.
We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities in high places. We put the armor on by praying, and being obedient to God’s Word. Jesus went to the cross to give us the right to tread upon these serpents; so by faith use your authority. The enemy knows when the Light is present.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)
Unbridled emotionalism can cause self-inflecting wounds.
Haters have a way of controlling their victims by tapping into areas of vulnerability. Once emotions are involved, it’s harder to think clearly. Fight smart—not hard; use tactics that are far above the haters’ reach. Wait on the Holy Spirit, Who is omnipotent, omnipotence, and omniscient—to strategically orchestrate your moves.
That’s my approach when the devil comes after me, or mine. I learned from experience that these high-risk combats are too important for me to waste my energy on ineffective methods. I go to the One Who can attack the root cause of the infestation. I go before God, and receive His divine instructions. Haters have no idea when they are digging their own ditch.
Though his hatred covers itself with guile and deceit, His malevolence will be revealed openly before the assembly. 27 Whoever digs a pit [for another man’s feet] will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone [up a hill to do mischief], it will come back on him. (Proverbs 26: 26, 27 AMP)
Got a hate infestation?
Don’t fret—call the Specialist; He will take care of it!
