God inspired me to write a Paulette Talks Faith Workbook because He wants more people to use faith like a hands-on tool and not see it as a mythical wonder; faith sounding good, but can’t seem to get it to work. God also wants more people to see the connection between having a powerful faith life and spending quality time getting to know Him. I had to trust God to tell me how He wanted the workbook written. After the project was finished, I hunched my shoulders and said:
I started thinking: I know God wanted me to write the book, but I have no clue how to get it out into the world. That’s when He reminded me of Noah. (Genesis 6-8) Noah listened to God’s detailed instructions on to how to build an ark. Noah had no recollection for tackling a feat of this magnitude. All he could do was depend on God to tell him what to do.
Noah’s job was to build the ark—God’s job was to send the rain.
Whatever you are believing God to do in your life, just be obedient and by faith follow His directions. Don’t worry about how it’s going to get done. Who’s going to help you? Where the money is going to come from? That’s the enemy trying to discourage you from completing the assignment that God has for you to do. If what you’re doing is in God’s will, He is going to send the rain (provisions). Therefore, get your ark ready, so when the opportunity rains come, you are prepared to receive.
Put your confidence in God’s ability.
If your mission seems like an impossible undertaking, remember what’s impossible for man is possible with God. (Luke 18:27) You can do all things through Christ Who strengthens you. (Philippians 4:13) Greater is He that’s in you than he that’s in the world. (1John 4:4) God wants to exert His power through you. But, if you’re are going to allow fear to rob you of your blessings, then you are empowering impossibilities.
Where is your faith placed: In the devil’s impossibilities or in God’s possibilities?
Noah didn’t have to worry about: What is rain? Where will it come from? What if it doesn’t come?
Just do what God ask you to do and leave the rain to Him.
The Paulette Talks Faith Workbook contains topics and questions placed around situations to get people talking and thinking more about how they can use the power of faith in their everyday lives. Even though the questions are voiced for group discussions, they can be adapted for self-analysis and personal growth. As powerful as faith is, it still has to be developed just like a muscle in your body. These group sessions will exercise your faith muscles as you learn from the experiences that others will share. The Paulette Talks Faith Workbook is the tool to assist in that development. It’s excellent material for: Church workshops, small group chats, or individual study.
