When you are bombarded by antagonistic people—go within yourself and remember:
God is my Defender!
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? (Psalm 118:6)
I know it’s not always easy to control yourself when people are constantly attacking you viciously. Nevertheless, you can’t afford to fight a battle using evil tactics. If you do, you will pay the consequences when the fight is over.
Hate is too costly!
If you want to win the battle and not have irrefutable consequences at the end, then think about this: God knows everything about your adversary—their strengths and weaknesses, along with yours. He knows their past history, and the future that lies ahead for them—and yours too. He knows the reasons behind the “what” they’re doing, and He knows why you’re responding the way that you are responding. God knows more about what’s going on than you. So let Him defend you.
You can’t effectively fight what you don’t know.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
Your faith, however, is demonstrated when you exchange your pride for meekness and humility (strength in disguise) in order to let the Holy Spirit in all His wisdom—defend and strategically guide you in the way you should go.
Meanwhile, your job is to quiet your spirit so you can hear and follow God’s awesome instructions. He is your Defender; not you!
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (Psalm 91:2)
Who can come against your Defender?
