Since these are perilous times, we better know God for ourselves. A superficial relationship with the Father is not enough to get a prayer through; not the kind of prayer that will combat the evil forces that’s upon us now. We have to know without a doubt when we call on God—Heaven heard us, and the answer is in route!
Our Lord works through His people; His glory will be seen through us. Faith is more than a word used in religious settings. When the Holy Spirit calls us on duty, our faith must be ready to take center stage.
Can your faith handle the task?
We can all see the turmoil that’s going on; bombings, mass shootings, immorality, and widespread deception to name a few. It’s like playing whack-a-mole; as soon as one incident takes place, another one pops right up. Nevertheless, the darkness of the hour is a perfect backdrop for God’s glory to shine. (Matthew 5:14-16)
Our faith is needed on stage—performing—Right Now!
There’s no time for Christian posturing; praying ineffective prayers in cold powerless churches. Too much is going on for us to be showcasing and pretending. People are hurting physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. They need hope to replace despair; joy to replace sadness; peace to calm the uproar; and the Savior for salvation. They are coming to us for answers; not to hear empty platitudes that bear no power. Our faith must be ready to exert the fire of the Holy Spirit that’s within us. (2 Corinthians 5:20)
Do you have the nerve to put your faith on center stage?
If your faith is not ready to take center stage, here are some suggestions:
- Daily spend quality one-on-one time listening and talking to God.
- Read God’s Word and ask Him for revelation.
- Honor God by promptly being obedient.
- Acknowledge His presence throughout the day.
- Be aware when you’re trusting God for “small” things; so when faced with a challenge, trusting Him isn’t unfamiliar.
We have been warned in Luke 21:9-36 that great distresses will take place. Therefore, we shouldn’t be shocked when these things occur. During these times, effective fervent prayers of the righteous is what’s needed in this lost world.
It’s time for our faith to take center stage and produce mighty results for the Kingdom of God.
