Trying to find your way through a maze of governmental red tape to get a simple straight answer, can be frustrating to say the least. Going through such an undertaking, could leave you with a pounding headache—even more confused. You don’t have time to untangle a mountain of perplexities; when all you wanted to do was speak to a real person who has the authority to cut through all the mumble-jumble nonsense.
Whenever you avoid bureaucracy’s red tape, you feel good—you beat the system.
Christians have the awesome privilege of “beating the system” too by taking their concerns straight to the One Who can do something about them. They don’t have to negotiate with a middle man—deciding if the concern warrants the Master’s attention.
When Jesus gave His life on the cross, that “red tape” was cut. By faith, Christians can go directly before the Lord 24/7 with whatever problems they are facing. God is interested in even the “small” stuff.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1Peter 5:7)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)
Sometimes Christians can become distracted when going through hardships. They can easily forget their position as a child of God; and will take on the stance of the world. This means instead of going to the Top for answers, they will first take a roundabout route and go to people for guidance.
It’s one thing if God leads them to a particular person for advice and it’s another thing if they go on their own without being directed by the Holy Spirit. There’s nothing wrong with going to people; God uses people all the time for His purpose. However, He wants the honor and respect of His children seeking Him first.
Cut the red tape and head straight to the Father.
