As I took my morning walk admiring the colorful autumn trees, I noticed some had already lost their leaves—looked dead. But looks can be deceiving; a tree might look lifeless on the outside, but on the inside it has everything it needs to endure the harsh months ahead. While the tree was giving the world beautiful foliage in the summer, it was steadily pulling life-sustaining substance from the sun; storing it for later on.
Physically weak, but spiritually strong!
The same is true for Christians; their circumstances might appear distressed, but the substance that they had already gathered from the “Son” is all they need for later on. These seasoned trooper know they are never alone because the Holy Spirit lives on the inside of them. By faith, all they have to do is draw from their inner Source because when they are humanly weak, they are spiritually strong. How can anyone be barren with all that dynamic POWER living on the inside of them? (Philippians 4:13; 2 Corinthians 12:9)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:10, 11)
From my heart to God’s ear!
I mentioned this in an earlier writing about a time when I was so troubled that I couldn’t find the words to pray. That’s when God instilled in me to have faith in the prayers that I had already prayed. My heavenly Father interpreted my silence and inward tears as heartfelt prayers.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)
