You wake-up in the middle of the night; you toss-and-turn, twitch, twist, wiggle, and squirm, but still can’t go back to sleep.
Why can’t I go to sleep?
Perhaps you were awakened for a reason. I’ve learned when I wake-up like that God wants me to start praying. I don’t have to know why, or for whom. The concern can be in another country, or across the street, it doesn’t matter somebody needs prayer.
I remember hearing stories about people who were suddenly awakened with the urge to pray. By that morning, they would hear about a near-death accident that took place at the time they were praying.
Christians are always on call to pray.
Look at the condition the world is in with all the hateful, vile, evil acts going on. You can’t help but to stand in awe: Oh my God! As crazy as things are, it’s good to know God is in control, therefore, you don’t have to worry.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, it says to pray without ceasing. Our divine Creator has devised a scheduled so that this terrestrial ball called earth is covered in prayer around the clock. When one part of the world is asleep, the other part is awake. And, you can believe—somebody—somewhere—is praying.
